Recorded in performance + rehearsal, September 2016, this is a companion-piece to my album ♐UFSC, and can be considered as a series of live variations on the same basic compositional principle. These pieces were inspired by the phenomenon known as "Unfavorable Semicircle", which offers both conceptual impenetrability and sonic discomfiture.
These pieces "sample" Unfavorable Semicircle via analogue + digital recordings, mixed in real-time to live synth-loop constructions. Except for level adjustments, no post-processing was applied to the recordings.
Thanks to: the maker(s) of Unfavorable Semicircle, the online UFSC community, Wolfgang Nessel, Jakob Rehlinger/Arachnidisc Recordings, Aaron Dawson/Nite Comfort, the Cosmic Homeostasis crew and Del Stephen.
